Three-dimensional Modeling of the Patient
3D reconstruction of the patient anatomy using Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance imaging.
Category: Computer Assisted Diagnosis
Technologies: C++, 3D Texture Rendering guided by 2D Texture.
The goal of imaging in medicine has been to display the patient’s anatomic. Usually, imaging technology in medicine has been largely confined to 2 dimensions. The development of an interactive 3D digital model of the patient’s anatomy would greatly improve the physician ability to determine different treatment options, to predict treatment results, and to evaluate treatment outcomes more accurately. This module of three-dimensional visualization has been applied for the 3D reconstruction of the patient and for the visualization of anatomical alterations (tumors) using Computed Tomography and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance imaging.
